City-owned parking lot was transferred to CHH a couple years back. We should see the first drawings on Thursday when the proposal goes to DRP.

I believe I saw something somewhere saying this is supposed to be a modular construction site - likely using the new Ellisdon modular housing plant in Stoney Creek.

looks like Montgomery Sisam.. Seems underbuilt for its location though.

Could easily be a few more floors. It's adjacent to commercial buildings on almost all sides, except a taller residential building. Could easily be 4-8 storeys here with no issues.

Anyone know what's happening with the building next door, at the corner of Wellington?

But the roof was redone and it's been cleaned up considerably.

Surprisingly small indeed! CHH says the plan is for 20 3BR units here.

I remember hearing through the grapevine that someone was going to be putting a microbrewery in there, but that deal fell through in... 2019 I think?

Passive Haus is a building standard, not the name of this project. The project at James St N and Picton is another Passive Haus certified building.

Just read a piece by the modular builder saying that cranes will be installing the modular units starting Tuesday. Also, they're using 257 King William as the address.

Crane on site and a couple of prefabs are already set in place.

It's cool how this is made modular, yet you can't really tell; everything is starting to blend in.

I wonder if a strong enough wind would cause them to all topple over like shipping crates lol..

This ugly cheapo modular stacked barn thing looks like it has barely inched forward since the summer. Feels like it should be more than complete by now.
