Ott so I truly hope he is the architect for this project. I can't wait to see the renderings for this! PMG is a solid developer & with Canada’s Greybrook Realty Partners investing in this project it seems like this is a very solid proposal. PMG Gets Approval To Build Miami’s Tallest Tower
PMG Gets Approval To Build Miami’s Tallest Tower
By TNM Staff on December 11, 2015 Developer PMG received approval today from the FAA to build a 1,049-foot tower at 300 Biscayne Boulevard, and they fully intend to build to that height. PMG principal Ryan Shear told TNM that the developer “has full intention to use every foot.” The tower would be the tallest in Miami. The approved height is 1,041 feet above ground, or 1,049 feet above sea level. At that height, it will be taller than the 93-story Empire World Towers project that was once proposed for the same site. Details of the project haven’t yet been revealed, but it is expected to include about 500 luxury condos. http://i.imgur.com/janAfBr.jpg ^ PMG’s tower will be taller than the Empire World Towers once proposed for the same site. |

Yeah the original figure of 1150 ft or so would not have passed. Still a great height. Lots of 900-999 footers too. Can't forget the twin villa magna project. Almost a 1000 ft, in two tower.
|
The developer plans to spend the next couple of years developing a plan for the site so this one could be a while before anything actually happens:

*muted trumpet sound*
Oh well, maybe we'll see this one stirring again on the other side of the coming recession. |
|
Yes, thanks for having my back!
|
I mean it doesn't sound like it is/will be cancelled, just postponed.
|
I'm not worried about this 2 year delay as the site sits on prominent Biscayne Boulevard with views of Biscayne Bay & the Atlantic Ocean.
It is already zoned for a height of 1,049 feet tall & has FAA approval. The developer is currently building Muse & Echo Brickell as mentioned above. Something will eventually rise here. |

^ In the rendering above the building looks more like a Office tower than a residential building.
Imagine a 1000+ foot residential tower in Miami without balconies ! :uhh: |

Demo continues...

Sales Center for 300 Biscayne u/c.
Note, the sales center. Not the tower itself... Also note that this is not to be confused with 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way aka the Aston Martin tower. http://i.imgur.com/hajq8LY.jpg Credit: NXT |

That's one ugly building.

Has one of the best chances of rising. Miami's 1st super tall for now. I do hope by Q4 2018/Q1 of 2019, we see the other super talls make progress on the ground.
Lots in the pipeline: https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4469/...88b42c40_b.jpg miami proposal 10-17 by Christopher Estevez, on Flickr |

Love it! So tall too :D

Looks like the design of 2 WTC in New York City.

Looks inspired by YUL condos in Montreal.

There's a certain almost redeeming handful of qualities in it that keeps me from mercilessly panning this into oblivion and beyond...
That said, let the site prep commence. |

I don't really like the design, but whatever gets Miami its first supertall. Hopefully something more groundbreaking rises because of this.
Plus with the World Center rising, this extends the skyline northward into Midtown and provides more width and density. After all these developments are done, no one will argue that Miami has the largest skyline in the US after NYC and Chicago. |
Title should be renamed:
MIAMI | 300 Biscayne | 1,041 FT | 88 FLOORS 88 floors which is missing and it's 1,041 ft. The extra 8 ft in the original 1,049 ft figure accounts for the 8 ft AMSL. |

Is this seriously how the tower is going to look like?

Check the rendering a few posts above... Post: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/show...2&postcount=37 And tower has sales center u/c. This will rise. The nice thing about pre-sales is that often the buyers wait years, and once a certain % is reached, this will start the construction process. |

It's a taller and glassier version of URL (Urban Ready Living) in Jersey City. The renderings might not do justice IMO. Take URL for example, looked like crap in the renderings, yet phase I in person is stunning.

What a change this will be with all the 1040' buildings all going up. Miami may have a plateau at that height, good stuff.

Love Miami, but god damn when it comes to the super talls its nothing but a perma-delay.
I'm not sure why they are waiting for the next cycle. This cycle is perfectly fine and wouldn't pose an existential risk either. Outstanding sales in other developments, and ones with similar price tags. There is plenty of opportunity for pre-sales to flourish. If anything, they should start it Q2 of 2018 and get this rising Q1 of 2019. It'll sell! |
