Not for all of us

Anyways, here's hoping that 2009 is the best year of this decade!

We can hope, but odds are that it'll suck:

CTV: Think the economy was bad in 2008? Wait until 2009

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays to all!!

Speaking of nearing the end of the decade. 1980-1989 was the 80's, 1990-1999 was the 90's, so 2000-2009 is the ... (fill in the blank).

Thanks,

But I was looking for a more generic name rather than one brought on by pessimistic internet posters

Although, I'd vote for "the zeros"

can't believe another decade went by, just like this. How old are you guys? If you are > 30 do you realize the time of your life has passed and now there is decline? I'm so upset that life means just getting old, it's really unfair:( Our parents were so strong and beautiful to us and now they are becoming the ones who need protection, and we have to raise our strengths in this awful time of uncertainty.
[/sadness]

I'm 37, about to have my first kid, and enjoyed myself tremendously up until now. Can't see any reason why that would change!

1ajs Dec 23, 2008 3:01 PM

haha yea.. i will go out again to some other random country again i don't ever want to give up my exploring habbits even if i wind up with a wife and kid then i would go backpacking with them like my parents did with me when i was 9 :D

spiritedenergy Dec 24, 2008 3:51 AM

i don't really want to talk about my personal life here but 1ajs, you jinxed me!!!:hell: My flight was canceled from Air Canada, and they didn't even pay me anything. Is it true that they pay only if the cause is not the weather? And their behavior was awful, they made me wait one hour because the clerk had a break...:hell:

1ajs next time you go to some exotic place i'll make sure to jinx you as well:D :hell:

On a note, the new airport looks very nice and i took Sargent Avenue (bus 15) on the way back and it's rather urban and nice avenue when it goes around sherbrook to downton.

It looks that way. I never new how much history Havana has, and how significant it is to understanding the development of the Americas and Carribean. The cultural aspects of La Habana look phenomenal, and so does the architecture ;)

Very nice even so. The change from Tuscany to, um, Winnipeg must be a bit of a shock to the system.

Here's a couple I took in Havana a few years ago to get you started...

yes especially because I live 30 minutes from Florence, which is my adopted hometown... I love Florence.

Anyways I'm back now and on the way back I stopped in London, Ontario; it's a nice and lively city but it cannot compare to Winnipeg on any level.

Greco Roman Feb 16, 2009 5:07 AM

I miss Havana already :( I had such a great time there, I didn't want to come back.
