So is the one that just TO'd the tallest of the three? Also, someone needs to update the Jersey City diagram, none of these are on it.
|
I think its the 2nd tallest. In terms of height, the difference between the three towers is very minor. This should be the one on the left of the rendering on site. The one with the parking deck.

In some of the frontal shots (taken from the water) you can see another tower rising along with this one. Which one is that? |
When finished it will look like this:

From what I've heard, the developers of the URL site (Mack-Cali) agreed with the developers of the 2nd Trump tower (65 Bay Street) not to begin construction on the remaining two towers until 65 Bay is fully sold out. I think that's a bit ridiculous, it's not like you can sell people on views with the knowledge that their view will soon be that of a another (taller) building across the street.
|
People will buy regardless of view. Its really more of being in JC/NYC area and close to the city. You could build a tower with views of a sewage plant (and it smells), and people would still buy it. Towers sell out quickly in this metro, to the point where in some cases, the design is not even revealed, and they sell out. The demand is loco.

Anyway, speaking of vistas, today YIMBY published these from one of the upper floors of URL Harborside http://www.yimbynews.com/2015/09/vie...rsey-city.html http://www.yimbynews.com/wp-content/...et-777x583.jpg http://www.yimbynews.com/wp-content/...ne-Street1.jpg http://www.yimbynews.com/wp-content/...ne-Street2.jpg More pictures, from NJ.com. They say they're taken from the 57th floor (so twelve floors bellow the top 69th floor and at about the height of the Trump Tower, as seen in one of the pictures) http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/2...ilding_in.html You can see Journal Squared in this first picture: http://imgick.nj.com/home/njo-media/...1a7a30a0ac.JPG http://imgick.nj.com/home/njo-media/...e870f038b4.JPG http://imgick.nj.com/home/njo-media/...c129d54f2b.JPG http://imgick.nj.com/home/njo-media/...aae71d0498.JPG http://imgick.nj.com/home/njo-media/...4988ee5c88.JPG http://imgick.nj.com/home/njo-media/...f8402350ff.JPG |

Man, Jersey City has a more impressive skyline now than most skylines in the US and its just a tiny little part of the NYC metro, crazy.
|
Those sunset pictures are gorgeous. Where was the picture taken from (with the park in the foreground)?
|
Thank you! Those are from Rockefeller Park, at the northern corner of Battery Park City.
