In spite of my cynical pessimism, they have proceeded to install the fourth floor slabs today

I was told they had financial issues, but it seems to have been resolved.

I'm very excited for this to be done. I will really fill in the view from James N. I'm legitimately surprised there aren't more proposals for along Cannon between Bay and Ferguson. Not only is it walking distance from James N, but it's along a separated bicycle path which many would be interested in living beside.

This development is taking forever though. Nearly every unit is for sale from owners. It must be late, because I see 0 to 4 people working on it at any one time.

Just curious, was there ever a site plan for this posted? I'm just curious if there is supposed to be commercial on the first floor and if so, how much?

Taken yesterday. Full Resolution here.

Not sure why this project is progressing so slowly. Anyone have more info?

Slowest development in history.

I've heard this is quite late. There are almost always like 10 units in this building for sale. People trying to drop out.

Apparently this project has been put on hold by the contractor.

Any idea what's going on? It's really unfortunate to see a half built building just off the city's favourite place to hype up.

Do you mean the developer?

ScreamingViking Aug 11, 2021 7:45 PM

Let's hope this is a very short delay.

Cannon isn't an attractive thoroughfare for most of its length (particularly the majority of the blocks between Wentworth and York) but this skeleton would make it seem even worse if it remains for too long.

TheHonestMaple Aug 11, 2021 9:14 PM

I'm sure those pre-sale buyers are happy about this. I heard somewhere that construction is not anticipated to be complete until 2023.

Has anyone heard anything about this project? I drove by today and it looks the same as the May 17 pictures.

Looks like it's still on hold. I've reached out like a weirdo, and heard nothing.

its unfortunate that things aren't moving along here

TheRitsman Jan 24, 2022 5:24 PM

I'm curious if there are any updates on this one. I also took a picture of it from an office building with a good view:
