I love Tower Verre but this to me is the most striking and New York'y addition to the skyline in decades. It's modern, elegant, but somehow recalls New York's deco past.

Verre was strikingly beautiful until they beheaded her. |

You would have thought that with monsters rising all around it at higher heights they could have fought for their 200 feet back... ridiculous. But alas it's U/C and NY will have tons of buildings that high and higher soon enough :) |
Definitely my two favorites going up in the city right now. Of course, there are more that we haven't seen yet.

What happened to the diagram for this (along with others)?

This is the most beautiful building I have ever seen in my life.
I'd give both my nuts to live in this masterpiece... as long as I'm allowed to bring my Great Danes. Wow..... takes a lot for me to be impressed but I can't wait to see this baby rise. Spectacular addition to Manhattan's skyline. Envious of those who get to call this address home. |

BTW, is this what it will actually look like from this angle, because that's incredible http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...3rd_Street.jpg |

So. Amazingly. Sexy!

Hey, anyone remember when One57 was considered the behemoth of 57th Street, dangling crane and all?...

You're right, who would've thought that One57 would be dwarfed on both sides..

^ If only we could reduce construction costs in NYC. Skyscrapers and supertalls would pop up everywhere ...

^^^
That's why I'm betting on the outer boroughs to be the next hotspots for them. What they city needs is a transit overhaul to increase capacity, and you will see the supertalls rise in the near future. Plus, for sake of aesthetics, I think the skyscraper wave needs to ride east into Queens/Brooklyn. Time to turn that place into a Kowloon. :D Its still expensive, but not as much as let's say building in Midtown East or North. I'm hoping as more talent chooses DoBro and its proxies to live in, that companies would consider leasing in a future supertall there. |
