I saw this on the Council on Tall Buildings website. Thought all of these buildings look strikingly like CITC.

Wow I think its possible at the deepest end may be how low they may go for this pit I'm thinking. But a lot of progress done in almost a month, and it seems in another week the retaining wall will be finished. Thanks for the overhead shot Londonee!

Its funny that there is the one tree on the north west corner they are preserving while moving 1000s of tons of dirt.

Ha. Yeah. No reason to get rid of it, though. It's not in the way of construction. When the tower is complete, they'll be planting more trees.

They're working 6 days a week at both CITC and FMC.

That little, blue-domed Arch St church is going to be so ridiculously overshadowed by Comcast's two towers framing it. Will make for quite a juxtaposition and framing of photos in the future, once the tower is up... :)

Looking at the webcam, I saw what looks like cylinder like concrete forms for pilings? Not sure what to make of it, its pretty small tho.

And if the the site of Comcast Tower 2 comes to fruition then the effect will be even more dramatic. There's been some rumblings on this site about that building being a strong possibility. http://goo.gl/maps/XmcJI

Whoa, it would be built on that grassy plot? Isn't that kind of small?

Not at all. Have you actually seen this site? It could easily hold a 500 footer. Check it out on Google Maps aerial view.

I'd have to assume it wouldn't strictly be the grassy area, but also the driveway and the structure that houses the concourse entrance as well, no?

Haha no problem! If you look at some of the lots they're fitting 1,000+ footers on in NYC, I would say this lot is not out of the realm of possibility to even hold an 800+ footer, but I was told the lot can hold max 500 feet. I think this is because the regional rail tunnels that go under the site.

Well that's really cool, I totally forgot about that part of the original Comcast proposal. That'd be quite the Comcast skyline if they built one there too.

Plokoon11 Aug 22, 2014 5:26 PM

If that happens they may have to turn bf bridge into the nbc logo and Philadelphia will be called Comcastdelphia.
