To each his own, I suppose. It is different, but I think it's significantly more attractive than the molar that was approved and is under construction - despite the glass looking pretty cool and the materials seemingly high quality, I don't like it. This one I like.

I like the subtle curve of the taper and the green balconies of this version. It is very complementary to Block 185, with a concave curve seemingly responding the convex curve of 185. I'm not surprised that it appears to have been VEd out though.

I'm glad this is down to one tower -- I like the both fine, but I like the one-tower version better. I'd rather have a more varied design on the second building.

And, even on the first building, the only think I like better about the older version is that it delineates by the actual floors, rather than every 2 floors. Otherwise, the glass with brown accents is much better than another off-white/blue glass building, no matter how tall.

Has there been confirmation that the renderings above are "old?" These seem to depict a much taller tower. The "new" version does not seem to be as tall.

Snow still cracks me up. Someone else mentioned it, but man that would be awesome. I miss snow...sometimes.

I was born in Michigan and lived near chicago and also in PA. I miss the snow? Just not the cold lol. You can't have one without the other unfortunately. Sure is nice around the holidays though!

I was born in Michigan and lived in Minnesota for 8 long years, and I really hate cold, snow and ice. Dallas is too far north for me.

Back to the project...Before rendering the Fairmont, it looks like they looked up the height which was listed as the 595' spire height instead of the roof height.

For me living in Wisconsin. It always seems warmer when it snowed. I do miss the snow on the holidays but not the cold. Some of these towers would blend right in with the snow.

molar is 360' how much can you hate it? plenty of buildings under 400' i don't like. if the molar was 1000' well now i would agree with you. scale matter when it comes to design.

this is an eyesore from all angles. mctower. 1000' cookie cutter. nothing but pcb boards covering first 15 floors. non symmetrical. this thing is mathematically ugly.

Hate is a strong word, but I can also be in support of taller buildings going up around it. That said, it doesn't leave as bad a taste in my mouth as it did when it was first announced. At least it's done with quality materials.

This one is unique and I do like it. Not everyone has to like it - that's okay, and visual preferences are subjective by nature. That said, I think that most people on this forum are intrigued and hopeful even with the current rendering (which will change). It could be done with super cheap materials and look tacky, or it could be done with high quality materials and blow our expectations out of the water. I'm hoping for the latter.

I like both designs but I prefer the greenery and the curbed slop up the side of the double tower version. Even if the other design is the design they are going with, I'd be cool with it. I like the color and facade pattern on the first.
