Unfortunately, at 46 degrees north, Moncton is too far south to enjoy northern lights. :( I did see a nice display once in Edmonton though. Fascinating stuff. |
Great photos... so beautiful. Believe it or not, I've actually seen them from Victoria a few times. Very rare though. :D

Victoria looks absolutely amazing! I'm really impressed. There aren't many cities in Canada that I really want to visit, but Victoria is definitely one of them. The pics posted in this thread have sold me.

Took the kids to Niagara today. Went up the Skylon Tower for the first time. Don't know why I hadn't before.
Also, finally got to try out the new track that opened a couple of years ago. I've done basically every go kart track within one hour of the GTA, going back 20 years. Finally crossed this one off. It was as fun as it looks. Had a blast. Obviously, like any fun track, the entire thing is flat out. If you know the racing line, you never have to take your foot off the throttle. So it wasn't fun for any technical reason, it was because of the novelty of it but also they put like three dozen karts out at the same time so it's quite the mix of drivers who know what they're doing and total noobs. Because the track is flat out, it's impossible to pass someone who knows what they're doing unless you encounter the slow pokes. Oh what fun it was to guess which noob was going to go which way and either avoid them or use them to your advantage when trying to pass one of your peers. And god damn is it fun going downhill. The first crest is actually a blind brow. And even though they limit the speed of the karts when you reach that section, it's still a thrill dropping down like that. It's basically the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca.
