Under Construction

This building is already under construction and should be moved to that section. The foundation work is well advanced now.

Pictures from the blog Urbanism Vs Modernism http://urbanismvsmodernism.blogspot....rk-city-9.html published in the blog and in Wired New York http://wirednewyork.com/forum/showth...l=1#post449686 by the blogger, along with updates of other buildings in JC.

Since I think this building has no underground spaces, it should be going vertical very soon...

Are they building all three at once?

In separate phases.

I already asked for it to be moved at the move to construction request thread, I guess we have to wait for a mod to move it.

The evidence is in the photos above.

I guess you talk about the building in the first picture I posted, that is the Candlewwod Suites, it drew my attention to. Looking at the historial of Google Earth Images, it was built sometime between 1997 and 2001, when they build the first buildings of the area.
I think it will be replaced by a bigger building in the future, maybe not soon, but eventually, when large plots of land become scarce in JC, there are still many whole-block lots nearby used for surface parking. The plot of that Hotel is pretty large, only have that hotel building with an extensive surface parking area.

So much hate?

Why these buildings getting so much hate? This reminds me of 56 Leonard St. in Manhattan a lot. That building gets so much love. If this was going up in Brooklyn I think people will b like "this is what Brooklyn needs!" or "Hooray Brooklyn gets three 700 footers!" There not the best looking buildings but least there not rental mini-me versions of 432 Park Ave.

I expect the buildings to turn out better in real life, since the renders are really low quality.

Framing of the first level was up by 12/05. Also, the tower crane is being assembled.

Also, in the background you can see 401 Washington Blvd (bare concrete on right), 110 First Street (brick in the distance) and 160 Morgan St (far distance behind the crane), all under construction started within the year.

Also, there is 65 Bay Street aka Trump Tower 2 under construction just behind this building and will rise behind that Don't Walk sign on the left.

Your picture isn't showing up. Is it just me or do you need to do something to fix it?

Lol What's this with Toronto? It belongs right here in Jersey City, providing a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline.

They are progressing at a rate of about 1 floor every 2 days (M-F) so about 2-3 floors per week. It takes 1 day to frame and 1 day to pour.
