Took a walk around - not a single sign of the companies involved, just '24-hour CCTV monitoring'. |
The company that used to be on the banners was something like 'top notch hotel builders' IIRC. I think it may have been an arm of Northlands possibly.

I wonder what spilled there. Maybe hydraulic fluid? There is a lot of it.
Can't be good for the concrete either. |

I wonder if its an environmentally friendly type of oil? If so its not as urgent to remedy as the normal petroleum based oil.
|
There is no environmentally friendly oil really, it’s just likely bureaucratic underfunding/disarray/incompetence that is probably the reason there is no urgency to respond to it.

Wonder if this is a sign things are about to ramp right up? I guess we will see. The real indicator would be if the north crane were to be reassembled. |

Caught this on the way in to the office this morning.
Looks like they are going with a single tower. https://i.postimg.cc/NG369Fsb/Sutton...ded-Design.jpg Took a quick search on the city's site but couldn't find the details; maybe someone with some spare time can track them down. :D |
The picture shows it at about the same height of the other towers but I counted 28 floors. Its hard to tell from that picture though.

Oh well better then nothing I suppose :(
It guess TN didn't think the long term residence was worth keeping |
I wonder why they veered away from a glass tower. The other three towers are predominantly glass, giving TNS a cohesive look. Is it a cost savings measure?
|
I think one of the original proposals included a residential tower. Maybe they're going with just the hotel now?
Oh well, at least the project will get finished. There'll be another hotel in the area and we'll have a tower about the same height as the Wawanesa building to look at. |
