If you look at the pictures, most of the more major development from here on in, will happen in Midtown and Yorkville Areas. I guess this is where the land is the most valuable, and most scarce.

:(

But the clone stamp tool does.

Traynor, you would absolutely love some of the new features on Photoshop... this one is incredible:

Holy moly, that 'content aware fill' function is unbelievable.

OMG!!! That is so cool!!

I have Photoshop CS3 but don't even know how to use it.

The problem with most tutorials like the one shown is: They don't show clearly where to find these "selectors". So I end up hunting and searching all over the tools section and drop-down menus. It ends up being faster for me to stitch the image by hand.

As I said before, I need to sit down with a person that knows PS inside and out, have them watch what I do in Paint and then have them show me the step by step way they would do it in PS. Actually showing me where I can find each selector, because it is NOT intuitive.

I am used to an easel, a piece of paper and some pastels, pencils or brushes. Now THAT makes sense to me!

:D

Here's a before and potential after picture of St. John's done by Architype.

caltrane74 Apr 19, 2011 3:53 AM

Something about St. Johns reminds me of Cape Town.

Ayreonaut Apr 19, 2011 4:05 AM

My girlfriend is currently in Tromso, and she says it has some similarities to St. John's as well.

Architype Apr 19, 2011 4:12 AM

Tromso also looks a bit like small cities in BC and Alaska.

I sometimes think of Norway as a mix between our two coasts.

The Scandanavian look makes sense when you consider the whole viking history that is present in pre-columbian Newfoundland.

Some of these remenants are hard to see, others quite obvious.

It would really be pre-cabot Newfoundland :p

caltrane74 Apr 19, 2011 3:21 PM

Yeah, Colombo never made it this far north!

Great video, too bad 90% of those will end up canceled!

I kid, actually he is even missing a few ;)

caltrane74 Apr 25, 2011 9:49 PM

There must be a better rendering somewhere...

Traynor why don't you drive up to Montreal, take a few shots and pleasure them with your rendering abilities.

Traynor Apr 25, 2011 9:57 PM

I would love to go to Montreal. It's only an hour and a half away for me but I'd be too busy clubbing and partying to bother to take some pics.

Besides, my ability to render Toronto is based on the fact that I know every square inch of it intimately. I am completely unfamiliar with Montreal.
