It's just fancy cabins on the Southern Shore. I forget exactly which towns its in between, but you see it if you drive south to hike La Manche or the Berry Hill Arch.

First known as Les Îles-Percées and settled as soon as 1667, Boucherville was officially founded as La Sainte-Famille-de-Boucherville as a parish in 1678 (the first chapel was built there in 1670). It remained a rural farming village until the 1950s. The population of the place literally exploded after the construction of Louis-H.-LaFontaine Tunnel. The heart is intact. Today, it's a 40k suburb very well located in the metropolitan area, and mostly famous for its National Park located on a river archipelago in the middle of the St. Lawrence.

Aerial view of the Northwest Arm, an inlet that separates the Halifax peninsula from the mainland suburbs. It's the geographic equivalent of False Creek in Vancouver, and has a seawall, yacht clubs, etc. Many of the city's wealthier residents built estates in this area around 1800-1930, and then these were subdivided in later decades. The forested area around the lakes is a provincial park and became the city's water supply around 1830 or so.

Melville Island, the island with the yacht club, was an internment camp used from the War of 1812 up until World War I. About 8,000 American POWs were imprisoned there.
