Time for Barnett to break out that spire...

I at first though that was an error, but it's not, CPT will top out at 1,550 ft. It's even blocked in this rendering, which doesn't even include the Chase tower... https://static01.nyt.com/images/2019...y=90&auto=webp More on that here... http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/show...=1#post8442136 |
If Gary barnett want domine the skyline he oblige To add some floors To break 500m marke and come back it s spire that make the cpt around 1900ft height

Mark my words, a mega-tall is coming to NYC soon. The ambition in that article, coupled with the current development climate, it's only a matter of time.. |
^ When all of these towers are on the skyline, someone will want to break free from the pack.

The blood moon is coming!
On a side note, Steinway looks straight up ominous. The evil superhero lair vibe going. I guess even Batman is feeling the effects of gentrification. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4828/...19a194e5_k.jpg Manhattan by RadPhotos, on Flickr |

Barnett reportedly flirted with the idea of an observation deck, but wisely decided against that - the residents he are targeting for this building are far different than residents of the Hancock Center. As far as the public is concerned, this tower will have a large store at the base (Nordstrom), and many will know it mainly for that. There are other observation decks going up around town, including in a proposal for a tower taller than this one. |

he was right. they don't really go for observation decks above residential towers around this city. |
Garry barnett must do something To increase the height of cpt cause soon it will uterly blocked by tower five
|
Didn't one of the construction doc's have CPT as 1569'? Shouldn't be too hard to raise the parapet to that height or more in any case.
If Tower Fifth doesn't get Barnett to break out the spire, nothing will. All he needs is a modest 270' spire (shorter than originally proposed) to take the "crown" from Tower Fifth, 1 WTC and the CN Tower in one fell swoop. |
