well that's a relief at least. whenever I hear "new condo development" it's almost always talking about knocking down a whole block of heritage houses and the giant parking lots near hughson still remain empty and ignored..

at least I approve of building condos on TOP of old heritage buildings - best of both worlds :)

council approved the City to go ahead and allow developers to bid on Pier 8 land, so maybe Brad is interested
Oh yeah, it's still too early to speculate. I would call it more of a personal wish ;)

The sea of parking lots around Wilson/John/Rebecca have owners that aren't selling. Parking is still good business in downtown Hamilton, even though it is the cheapest in the country.

If developed there is enough land to add a huge increase to the size of downtown.

I only know of two proposals for that part of downtown right now; one is the forensics lab which is low rise institutional (albeit very modern) and the other is a residential development by Sonoma Homes at the site of the Hamilton Urban Core Community Centre (the old bus station at Rebecca/John)

The rest of the lots are still a total guessing game.

Can't wait :)

realcity Mar 27, 2017 8:34 PM

Looking forward to it. Hope my hopes aren't dashed by a low-rise lego block.

HAHA omg i'm from Toronto and Brad Lamb is a joke!. He puts his face on a lamb body in billboards all around town and NO ONE likes his buildings. Have fun with this guy Hamilton!.

You ever visit Toronto?. His buildings are laughed at and so is he. The Donald Trump of Ontario pretty much

fuller Mar 28, 2017 3:26 AM

Still, he is an upgrade to what we have now. Let's see if he knows how to dig a basement and keep it dry.

Can you expand on that? I did a search for his projects and they look pretty nice. Is it the quality?

This is false. If you have a image of this billboard, post it.

The billboards are real. It's a little tongue in cheek, but it manages to get attention.

His buildings, however are generally really high quality.

HAHA those are the ones. I'm not a troll actually Sir. I've worked in project management in construction in Toronto for 40+ years. How many years have you worked in a related field?. None?.

Lamb aint Tridel, Menkes, Lifetime, Mattamy, Fernbrook, etc.

He's constantly mocked in Toronto and his buildings, while they have "flair" on the exterior, lack luxurious finishes and top level craftsmanship like the competitors offer!.

@maxy38 - This isn't a thread to compare and rate developers, this is a thread to post news and updates on Television City Condos only. If you want to compare and rate developers, please find or create a thread in the proper sub-forum, thanks.

realcity Mar 28, 2017 2:40 PM

I remember him now. He had a weekend tv show about condos.

Canada-wide recession could follow foreign buyers tax in Toronto, Brad Lamb says

davidcappi Apr 2, 2017 5:10 PM

Trees on site have been cut down, and crews are on the property daily doing surveying/test digging etc.

Dr Awesomesauce Apr 2, 2017 11:59 PM

Are they developing the parking lot then?
