A gorgeous evening for a photo run. I tried to get some different scenes - and update a few of my favourites now that 351 and Fortis Place are just about finished.

I've not seen an aerial of this part of town before. That's the Prince of Wales Arena and grounds at centre. It's the border between Pennywell (left) and Rabbittown (right), my neighbourhood. Note the instant drop in class of the housing.

The main street that cuts left-to-right across the middle - that's Adam's Avenue, the one that's the centre of the story I used to explain how fast sectarian tension here have subsided. It was only last year, I think. I was driving with Mom coming down from the top right of this photo and turned right onto Adam's Avenue. She clutched the door handle for a second in fear, like I was about to crash. "What's wrong with you?" And she was suddenly a little bit embarrassed, "Oh, sorry. It's just... I haven't been here. When I was your age, a Catholic girl from Quidi Vidi just didn't go to Pennywell."
