Two,...beyond real believability.

Now debating which might come online first...astonishing!

Okay, I Am Bored. Where is the triad announcement? :???:

Have hope. There's at least one additional supertall being considered. However, they're not yet as far along in the process as this tower, so it may take some time before details are forthcoming.

Loonytoony, out! Bye y'all :runaway:

Something in the 1100 range pleaseeeee. A spire would be pretty awesome too.

Brad Wilkins of HKS also hinting at more supertalls.

HKS believe it will be the tallest building in Texas and the tallest residential building outside New York in the United States. But maybe not for long.

"We're going to see others of this height throughout the city. I won't be surprised to hear about more," Wilkins said.

N90 Nov 29, 2022 8:07 PM

If we get both the Waterline and the Wilson built then we will tie Houston and Los Angeles on the number of Supertalls in our city and only rank behind NYC and Chicago in the US.

If there are even more supertalls in the works then it’s crazy to think that Austin will be gunning for Chicago in that category. It’s mind blowing to me on how far Austin had come and in such a short period of time. True insanity guys.

migol24 Nov 29, 2022 10:36 PM

It wouldn't be long for Miami to quickly replace Austin. They have like 7 towers over 1,000' tall proposed and one underway.

N90 Nov 29, 2022 10:52 PM

Miami’s been like that for a decade with so many proposals. They just got their first one going.

I’m more confident in our process. It’s not flawless but I feel like we just move much faster and with less hostility towards getting these built between City and developers but I could be wrong.

Right? As one of our founding fathers once said, give me 1,500' or give me death!

That was Samuel Adams, but keep in mind that he had just polished off a 12-pack of his famous Winter Ale moments earlier.

Amazing that we have a supertall project that dropped to the second page. This is a Real Deal interview from mid-December with the Wilson behind the name.

^^ I think it was said somewhere that we're now bored with the 1000' plateau that seems to be developing and we're ready for 1400' in the core. :)

Bloomberg.com: In Booming Austin a stampede of skyscrapers is coming

Not anything new as far as I can tell, but cool to see big national outlets pick up on it.
