Don't beat yourself up. That MEC campaign was one of the best we've seen in years around here. Right up there with LRT.
Too bad EcDev doesn't have you on staff. You'd be certain to win some, and bring new business to town. Which is more than can be said about their current operation.

Check out all their other various locations. Most are located in central areas and some are adaptive reuse of existing buildings. Shame they couldn't do that here.

Say what you like, to call Burlington 'Borlington' may sound cute to you, but it is offensive to people who live in Burlington. You may find it boring, but that does not give you the right to mock the city with this term. As a resident of Hamilton, I know what it is like to be on the receiving end of a disparaging comment about my city, and so do you. One cannot demand respect without showing it in return. Given your vocation, I find it disturbing that you cannot appreciate that fact.

I agree. People from other cities read these threads and we need to respect that.

Considering the times Buying Canadian (North American) should be a major factor for any Canadian Company.

I can't remember if there was ever a Peoples in JS, but there was a Birk's at one time when they unfortunately left their magnificent old building at King and James for the mall. I could be wrong but I thought there was a Peoples on the north side of King at Gore Park up until the 1970's-80's.

Something else crossed my mind about Peoples....is this a relocation of the Centre Mall Peoples?

The use of "Borington" is only a piece of this --- whatever term raisethehammer chooses to use that city, he has made his dislike and disrespect for it and its people very clear. I may be mistaken, but I believe that he once stated that he would rather make the trip into Toronto to visit MEC rather than to visit the new store.
