There have been some construction workers protesting this project of late. They have been holding up a banner on Cesar Chavez in front of the IHOP protesting the Dinerstein Co. and their wages.

It's magnificent!

I especially admire that open top deck parking lot in the middle of the doughnut. It really adds a new dimension to the place.

I noticed work being done on the South side of this building. Are they just doing exterior updates?

^ Yeah, I noticed this since maybe after SXSW 2024. They're taking awhile

I am very much speculating on this, but with the slice of the building they closed off to renovate and the amenity area on the southwest corner being completely stripped down, I think it may be some water drainage/leakage issues with the pool and units below it....
