What are they putting underneath the Texas Mall? Geez, that's deep. A garage?

Urbannizer reports 2400 Seton, a 321' 30 floor West Campus residential tower, has started site prep. No photos yet, though.

The new capitol mall stuff is going to be great when finished!
|
I love how the city is mixing office/residential towers along with businesses creating that neighborhood dynamic and with all of the people who come downtown to work as well as play, it's creating a great street level urban feeling. Also these panoramic photos are giving me life!!
|
Yes I agree!

A (large) view from the East Side by Towers...

^^^Love this! Especially with the hills in the background! Will only look grander when the additional towers are added to the skyline.
|
That view is just incredible.
I was noticing today that the view from the Far West overpass is really good. I've always wondered what the view would be from above my trees, since I'm only between 4-5 miles north of downtown. Guess I'll have to get a drone. |
The ATX, that would be a great pic to post in the Skylines thread.

We got renderings today for what would be the sixth proposed-U/C tower between 700'-850'. The Covid carnage probably won't be known until 2021 or 2022 when the bulk of these projects should have broken ground.

Yeah, I think I'd be alright with that tower catching Covid and going away. :yuck:

Austin | ATX East & ATX West Towers (Possible Supertall) https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=241677 https://austin.towers.net/[email protected] https://www.bizjournals.com/austin/n...ll-likely.html |
Anyway, with this tower now, we'll have 7 towers either under construction (6 X Guadalupe) or proposed that are over 700 feet. Um, Dallas currently has 5 towers over 700 feet. Houston has 11 in that height category. :stunned:

Austin has amazing architecture

I mean look at this absolutely beautiful. This was the reference for my uni makete. Image credits to: MovePrice Website Definitelly my favorite city to live in. |
That is a fantastic picture of Austin.
|
The amazing thing is...that pic is at least 12-18 months old. There are a few other towers which have not T.O. and/or are well under construction in that same image.

Love the shiny newness of the buildings! Awesome pic!
|
|
That night time shot kind of reminds me of the Minneapolis skyline at night.
|
|
Nice panorama!
|
Okay dammit... It's official.
Austin has arrived, and appears to be bigger than Nashville and giving Charlotte a run for the money. Beautiful shot. WOW |
Just wait two years. There are five towers U/C between 500' & 850'. If the Covid recession and WFH doesn't kill them, there are at least eight more towers proposed that are between 600' and 825'.
