Not yet bursting with tourists on the streets, it has a nice historic centre, beautiful riverfront, and delicious food. This place is a must-see for aviation enthusiasts, with Airbus having a huge factory presence here. I could even see their huge Beluga airplanes from the civilian side of the airport.





Heading into the city centre, there are a lot of pink-coloured buildings, whose bricks are made from the local area's reddish-pink clay, giving the city the nickname "ville rose" (pink city).

I spent 15 days in the city and had a lot of time to walk around when I was not at the biennale. I fell in love with Venezia, its ambiance, its liveliness. Some friends told me "After 3 days, you'll be tired of the place" - well, I was not, and I would absolutely go back. My accomodation was located in Castello, on Campo Ruga.
