Before the First World War and the Second World War , Osaka Business Park was one of the areas for huge factory for weapons. Constrction started in 1872, the factory was the largest in the East, having about 64,000 workers there.

Natually becoming the target for bombers during the war, in August 1945 the area was completely bombed out and for 20 years became vacant land.

Oh, you do! I also like the Umeda sky bldg. It's only three stations away from Osaka station. I'll be going up to the Floating Garden Observatory next week.

The thread shows a pretty narrow perspective of Osaka. It is a VAST city that is crazy busy. Such an underrated place. It is quite maligned within Japan, but had really friendly people, the best food by far in the country, and really cool areas.

Yeah, you're right. My thread is not covering everything about Osaka, mainly focusing on OBP and Osaka Castle area.

I first started working at Namba area and I had a pleasant memory there, but now don't have any chance to go there.

Osaka people are so nice and talk and laugh a lot generally.
If Japanese capital is not Tokyo but Osaka, foreign people will have different impression about Japan.

Sorry admission is 600 yen, but a nice view from the building.
