This one is recently completed, to be Boston's first LEED certified (Gold) residential project. Should be getting a lot more attention in the architectural press within the next couple of months.

^ That's an interesting design. I like the sloped green roof with integrated balconies/patios. It lets people see the green roof instead of just knowing it is there.

In Vancouver we are building the 2010 Winter Olympics Athlete's Village to exceptional levels of sustainability and after the games three quarters of the the 1,000+ residential dwellings will be sold at market rates while approximately 250 will become non-market housing for seniors and low income singles and families.

I've created a new thread to profile it : http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?p=3108160#post3108160

Significant Green Features:

eliminated stack effect (machine-room-less elevator & sealed suite entry doors)
solar panels for DHW
high performance heating & cooling plants
healthy indoor environment (engineered hardwood/cork floors, ceramic tile, wool carpets, low off-gassing cabinetry)Modeled after Grandin Green (http://www.cmhc.ca/en/inpr/bude/himu/inbu/loader.cfm?url=/commonspot/security/getfile.cfm&PageID=118853) (also developed by Communitas and completed in 2000), Rossdale Green is designed to exceed GG's performance with the addition of a "vegetated roof", solar DHW panels, and increased performance windows.
(VISIONWALLtm) (http://www.visionwall.com). GG was Canada's first multi-residential building to receive a CBIP award (http://www.oee.nrcan.gc.ca/commercial/newbuildings.cfm) from the federal government, in recognition that it would use at least 25% less energy than a building built to conform to the Model National Energy Code for Buildings (MNECB (http://www.nationalcodes.ca/mnecb/index_e.shtml)). It should be noted that most residential high-rises still being built today do not even comply with the MNECB and are typically as much as 25% less efficient than any MNECB compliant building.
Based on GG's measured performance, RG is expected to use less than 50% of the power, water and gas than conventional high-rise design.
