I like PNC, but it's a close race with Procter & Gamble.

I tend to like modern, so I would take the Scripps Center.

I went with the Cinergy Building. It is small, but looks nice.
I would have went with PNC but the sign at the top messes it up for me. Carew gets an honorable 3rd.

I always preferred "Central Trust" to "PNC" but I'm dating myself.

The Carew Tower will always be my favorite skyscraper, bar none.

My favorite Cincinnati skyscraper is Central Trust:

I'll vote for Central Trust (PNC), because it's overall a better-looking building from the outside, but I also love the Carew Tower. It's my favorite skyscraper observatory. I love the simplicity of it (unless it's changed since the last time I was there). It doesn't feel at all like a contrived tourist attraction. You just walk into the building, push the button in the elevator like a normal person, and go up. The tiny elevator at the highest floors is quirky and cool, but I usually just take the stairs from 45 to the roof. Too bad they didn't build it one floor higher so it would be a nice round 50.

Carew Tower is even classier inside than outside.

I like Art Deco and the Carew Tower is like a 1/2 scale Empire State Building - the choice was clear.

I had to go with Carew too.

Nothing against Carew but I've always liked PNC/Central Trust better.

Carew and PNC are both standouts... PNC gets points for being named after a Pittsburgh bank... and it has a very unique design... and incredibly tall for its day... but Carew just seems to be the ultimate 1930s skyscraper design. So Carew it is.

PNC (yes I remember it as Central Trust also) is my favorite on the outside, although the Hilton interior, with the Palm Court and Hall or Mirrors, is amazing.

I like Scripps the most.

Proportionally, I love Carew - it's really the epitome of Art Deco massing. However, with the execution of the facade (iirc, originally intended to have limestone but they went with gold brick) and the western face has two lengths of windows are bricked in from the bottom to nearly the top (see photos), my vote goes to PNC.

"although the Hilton interior, with the Palm Court and Hall or Mirrors, is amazing."

Absolutely - when it comes to interiors, that's one of my top five favorites.

I'd give anything to see what the Carew Tower would look like inside and out had the Great Depression not forced cutbacks a month after construction started. Still, I love everything about that building, interior and exterior, and my boyhood fascination with the Carew is probably the reason I'm a skyscraper geek and art deco enthusiast today.

Also, while not as high as the Sears Tower or other supertalls, the open-air roof deck is my favorite observation deck of all time.
