BILOXI --Hard Rock Casino officials said this morning they will open ahead of schedule, this Saturday at 10 a.m.
The casino has been advertising a 7/7/07 opening for months, planning a July 7 debut, but will throw open the doors a week early.
Escatawpa's 3 Doors Down will open the 1,400-seat Hard Rock Live next Thursday, with Kid Rock playing on July 7.
The complex includes The Rock Spa, Merge Salon with three Coast stylists, a fitness center, beach pool with underwater music, shops and five restaurants, including Hard Rock Cafe.
(Hard Rock was scheduled to open three days after Katrina hit. There was a legal battle over rebuilding. It has been a five year process to open what should have been on two at most.)

GULFPORT --Chef Emeril Lagasse will say "Good Morning America from Gulfport, Mississippi" as he presents a live broadcast from his new restaurant today at about 8:30 a.m. on ABC.
Camera crews were filming all over the Coast Wednesday to showcase the revitalization since Hurricane Katrina, including the shrimping industry, downtown Gulfport and the new Bay of St. Louis bridge.
The show will go live to Emeril's Gulf Coast Fish House at the Island View Casino in Gulfport, where Emeril will talk about his restaurant and menu.
It isn't a cooking segment, said his publicist Mimi Rice, and there won't be an audience for the broadcast.
