Thought I'd put up another panorama I put together. Tokyo station taken from the upper retail level of the newly completed Shin-Marunouchi Building.

No comments yet? For shame! 'tis an incredable pan :)
Those Tokyo towers sure are massive. Maybe not extremely tall, but the FAR must be way up there.

That's Daimaru, inside the Tetsudo Kaikan Building, which also serves as the Yaesu (East) exit of Tokyo station.

Shawn, which building?

Thought I'd throw in another, same area, different angle:

Lee, I split my time between the Tokyo Building (the 33 story tower seen in the above pic directly behind the International Forum's curved glass wall) and a shorter midrise with the unwieldy name of Jitsugyononihonsha Ginza Building. I have lunch every day outside the Forum.

We may have run into each other without realizing it.

Astonishing... I never realized how distinguished Tokyo is in grayness.

I thought there was a plan to reconstruct Tokyo Station (before the war the main bldg was three stories). Is that still on? And what about the old post office, is that still scheduled for demolition?

To some extent my camera may be to blame for the greyness. These were all done with my phone camera since I'm too cheap to buy a good camera, and I didn't have my girlfriend's camera with me. I don't know about any plans for the post office, but as far as I know they are still planning on fixing up the station to its previous configuration, although I have no idea when they plan to start that.
