View Full Version : TEL AVIV | Azrieli Spiral Tower | 1,083 FT | 91 FLOORS

Buck

Height: 1,083 ft | 330 m
Floor count: 91
Location: 134 Menachem Begin Road
Construction end: 2025
Architect: Kohn Pedersen Fox, Eli Attia Architects, Moshe Zur Architects
Developer: Azrieli Group LTD

Israel is finally getting a supertall, although at least two more have already been approved. As it stands now, this tower will be 91 meters taller than the current tallest in the country (the Azrieli Sarona Tower nearby). There are a few conflicting sources about the height... when first announced, it was believed to be 350 meters, the KPF website (https://www.kpf.com/projects/azrieli-tower) lists 340 meters, and Emporis (https://www.emporis.com/buildings/135170/azrieli-center-spiral-tower-tel-aviv-yaffo-israel) and other sources seem to have settled on 330 meters (which is what I'll put here).

The Azrieli mall will be expanded at the base. They are currently finishing up excavation work and beginning work on the foundation.

Looks like vertical work could begin at any moment.

I never realized Tel Aviv had such a beautiful skyline. This supertall should complement it nicely. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Looks like excavation is maybe about done and foundation work/pouring might start soon. I'll get some pictures myself in a few weeks.

That's a gorgeous design. It reminds me a bit of the Library Tower in Los Angeles for some reason. It vaguely resembles it.

Nah, it's a spiral mate. That tower is a simple round circle with nothing special about it. Yawn.. This thing needs to be built in LA.:yes:

Also, Bjark Ingles, this is what a Spiral looks like ;)

Is that caisson going all the way into the ground? If so, with the addition of the pit, that's gotta be 200ft+ into the ground from the surface. That's amazing.

Please tell me there is something planned for the surface parking lot directly across the street...

That lot was originally meant to be the first Israeli supertall, the long since cancelled Egged tower (which even has a diagram on this site).

The latest project for the place is a 65FL tower, and two years ago an old low rise building was demolished. However, there is no information about when they plan on starting construction, so for the time being it will remain a parking lot.

The good news is that the Surface parking lot in this picture is the last in the area which until recently had several.

The area in 2011, the nearest parking lot is the spiral tower lot with the next one being the the last one standing:

Bad news, ground water has flooded the building site:

https://twitter.com/kann_news/status/1571438116480729088

The water leaking then caused a sinkhole in the nearby highway:

I don't know how hard this is to fix, But surely it will delay the project.
