Interesting Facts/Records (in own words):
The Miramar Hotel was originally built in 1948 and expanded during the 1950s and 1960s.
A new wing south of Kimberley Road was built in 1978, at the site formerly occupied by the Princess Theathre. With 1300 rooms, Miramar Hotel now became the largest in Asia of the time.
In 1988 most of the hotel was demolished to make way for the Miramar Tower (http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=98039)
The new wing south of Kimberley Rd was not demolished, but was renovated and rebranded as The Mira Hong Kong, in 2008.

The building also includes the Mira Mall shopping Centre.
