Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): ATLAS-I ( abbreviation for Air Force Weapons Lab Transmission-Line Aircraft Simulator) or also known
as TRESTLE is the largest wooden structure in the world. It was built in order to examine the effects of EMP waves on flying aircraft. In order
to avoid any interferences of the generated EMP waves with the ground, a 180 metres tall wooden bridge is used on which the aircraft are moved
for the test.
The EMP is generated by a Marx Generator with a peak power of 200 GW at a voltage of 10 MV.
Since 1991 ATLAS-I is unused.
