Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): Building and surrounding plaza is a national historic landmark. There used to be a 7th floor, however it was removed due to damage after the 1949 Olympia earthquake. Upon construction, this made the building a total of 110 feet tall. Currently, it is only 91 feet tall. The building is also on the National Register of Historic Places.
