Henninger Turm was built between 1959 and 1961 as silo for Henninger brewery. It can store 14500 tons in 31 cells. When filled the maximim pressure on the walls is 4500 kg/m2.
Henninger Turm was until 1974 the tallest building of Frankfurt. It is the only structure in Germany with 2 revolving restaurants.
On October 31st, 2002 Henninger Turm was closed for tourists. It is today unused, but it is not planned to demolish it.
