Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): This is the actual mast of a small broadcasting with a long, but
unforunately not well documented history. Reichenbach transmitter, to which the mast belongs, was established
in 1937 as "Reichssender Görlitz" and used at those days as most other German mediumwave broadcasting stations
a large wooden antenna tower. This tower does not exist any more ( year of destruction and height of tower are
unknown to me).
In 1950 a small transmitter was erected again at its site. In 1954 it was replaced by a 4 kW transmitter.
Today Reichenbach transmitter transmits on 1188 kHz MDR Info with 3 kW output power and uses a 50 metres tall guyed upfed mast, which was renewed in 1999. It has a horizontal
cross on its top.
