Interesting Facts/Records (in own words):
The masts of Kenadsa longwave transmitter are the tallest structures of Algeria.
Kenadsa longwave transmitter is a longwave transmitter, which transmits on 153 kHz with
a power of 2000 kW the program of Chaine 1 on 153 kHz. Kenadsa longwave transmitter, which belong to world's most powerful radio stations, uses as antenna three guyed masts
each 357 metres.
In spite of its enormous transmission power Kenadsa longwave transmitter can be barely received in Europe as its frequency is used by several other powerful radio stations in Europe
and the bad electric conductivity of the desert ground damps much its radiation.

The station is often also listed as "Bechar transmitter"

well received at night time in whole Europe, especially when the transmitter of Clarkestown in Ireland, which uses the same frequency, is off-air.
Tipaza longwave transmitter uses as antenna a 355 metres tall guyed mast, which is the second-tallest structure in Algeria

In 2002 it was renovated by the Swiss company Betec.
