Those look quite craptacular. Are they being built anywhere near the Wall Center Richmond, I hope not as that would be quite the corridor of crap.

Anyone else think that this project which is just off No. 3 Rd. (half block) should have retail in its base?

Versante is 2 buildings to the east and it looks like it has retail in its base. Pic from Versante website:

actually someone once took some photos of the wall centre models and they didn't look half as bad as they did in the renders....

as for versante - i still can't get over how narrow that lot is, and how close it's being built to the adjacent two towers. not sure where they could possibly jam retail into that site....

From the Model Shop website - biggest disappointment is that there's no streetfront retail!

Named after Prado on Commercial Drive?

please.... what's the point of having retail when you have the always empty lansdowne mall across the street? it would just sit empty all the time anyways. You have strip malls behind this project, and across the street. Townhouses >>> empty retail storefronts.

Remember that Lansdowne's parking lots will be built on and Lansdowne Way will be the east-west walking street to/from the Olympic Oval district- that's the plan. And Lansdowne Station is across the street. This site is in the commercial core of Richmond - and you have a residential townhouse?
Condominiumized tonwhouses at grade probably won't EVER be converted to retail due to the nature of condo ownership - a resident will not want to change the use - unlike a commercial landlord.

Named after Prado on Commercial Drive?

more like the museum in Madrid (on both counts)

Is it occupied? Perhaps someone can post a recent pic and we can change the status.

judging by the lights in the building, it looks like one building is occupied, the other is not.
