-This Concrete Reinforced curved hangar was first constructed for Train package sortiment, where the Train Wagons entered in some 20 rails station to be loaded. Today the trains do not go inside it anymore, as the advent of Truck delivery, the usage of train is almost banned to post services.

-This Hall was then in 1998 refurbished to letter be machinery sorted and then in Trucks carried. Today the Hangar is a monument for the city and could not be destroied and changed as a Post Symbol for Munich city.

-The structure arc of concrete has 1600 cables inside and some 28 arcs are here seen.

-The time it was built was the biggest Hangar in Europe.

I'm unable to find the height or the year of construction start in any of the links you provided.

I'm also unsure of its current use. Is it purely a monument, today, or is it still in some type of mechanical usage?

My wife works in the Deutsche Post in a building besides it and as we both know, the Big area for trains are since 1998 not more used. The rails track were removed, even the sign numbers counting the tracks are still there. Since then it is redeveloped as mechanical usage like factory to Letter distribution, but machinery divided and with some people supervision distributed and loaded in Trucks. so, today is like a 'industry' usage for letter distribution and separation. The building is a monument, protected from state institution to not having changes in its appearance. So it could not be destroyed, but is still used daily from Deutsche Post AG, German Post services.

I do not know in which use category better fit, if it is industrial, retail, or delivery services. :shrug: But I know is used a lot from Post. :tup:
