Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): World's largest excavator, used for exctracting lignite. Bagger 288 weighs 12840 tons, has a length of 240 metres and a height of 96 metres. It has a scoop wheel with a diametre of 21.6 metres and it can mine 240000 cube metres material per day!
Bagger 288 is not a fix structure. It can move itsself with a velocity of maximum 10 metres per minutes. It is therefore one of the largest structures on land, which can change its position by using built-in engines.
