Kobe Airport was built on an artificial island and it opened in February 2006. It is also known as "Marine Air".

This airport has two terminals. Terminal 2 opened in 2025.

Although it is mostly a domestic airport, it also handles some international flights to and from other Asian countries, as of 2025.

It has one runway with a length of 2,500 meters (8,202 ft / 1.55 miles).
