Dang, I am jealous. Atlanta is getting so many awesome new skyscrapers that it still will have the best skyline in the South, even after Signature Tower in Nashville is completed.

Yikes, that church is really ugly. Does anyone else feel like the CBD of Buckhead is one big office park? It's a collection of glassy office towers inside a ring of quasi-streets. None of the buildings are easy to access (by car, or especially foot) and if you miss a turn you basically have to drive a half-mile until your next entry point.

I'm hoping the new projects along Peachtree change this, but I think the area's current skyline and layout is very suburban.

Personally it feels more Vegas to me than say you average suburban office park. Which is not to say it feels very urban (that is changing, though very slowly).

The streets and sidewalks will be redeveloped into a CBD setting sooner or later. Since Buckhead is going through the fast dramatic transition that it has only since the turn of the century, it will be a sort of challanging atmosphere for a little while, at least until the streets, sidewalks, and ways to get around are a lot more practical and accessable. Also, those were really cool shots from the roof of Terminus!!! I'm assuming the roof will be a lot quicker to work on then the rest of the building was. In the last pic I saw the giant V on the northwest corner was taking shape. How far are they on the roof now? Thanks in advance!

I think the church is vey cool and modern. Also, all of the towers along Peachtree in Buckhead are easy to get to by foot and by car. I'm clueless of why you find them to be difficult.

They're easy to get to by foot, but most dont engage the street at all.

Not yet... Isn't the Peachtree Boulevard project supposed to change all of that?

Im talking about the buildings in Buckhead in general. Most are set back from the street and have either high end restaurants or lobbys fronting the street.

I think the fact that there are two major malls in Buckhead are the reason why most of the buildings don't engage the street very well. Buckhead was designed with the car in mind and the city planners are just now beginning to change that. Its like a kid who tries to build a model airplane without reading the instructions and realizes that he has to start all over.

They've slowed to a snail's pace. The "spire" portion is being framed right now.

Not the best day for picture taking.
The cranes in the foreground are for a church off the Buckhead Loop.

Nice!!! The progress has been dramatic just over the last 2 weeks alone! Also it seems to be at it's highest point, please keep us updated on the progress of the crown. Hopefully we'll see it lit up before long...
