I’m back from my huge China trip and of course I also covered all the construction going on there. So I have construction updates for buildings in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi’an, Hangzhou and Suzhou. It will take a while until I post all of them here, since I took over 13,800 photos during the trip and as you can imagine it takes a while to sort through all of them, but let’s start with Shanghai.

All Shanghai updates were taken between 16th and 21st August

It looks like it has a small footprint. That won't be a massive tower.

Wow, that's jumped quite a few spaces since the end of 2006. My attention has been so focused on SWFC that I didn't even notice.

The Hopson Tower is almost topped out. It looks like they are now working on the strange penthouse component.

A little closer

Blue (gray) skies? Nice..

Is there a rendering around for this tower? I have no idea how it will look when completed.

Nice update by the way.

Fits the gap in the line well, but I want to see more cladding first.
