MIAMI | Brickell Heights Towers | Twin 49 stories | 529-549 feet |161m-167m

Jorge Perez and Related Group are proposing to build two Arquitectonica-designed 49-story condominium towers called Brickell Heights at 850 South Miami Avenue. Construction is expected to begin next year, and a third, taller tower could be added across the street later.

Plans for the first two towers call for a total of 690 residential units and approximately 85,000 square feet of retail space. The towers will range in height between 529 and 549 feet. A parking garage will be adorned by a mural created by artist Fabian Bruno.

The property sits between Mary Brickell Village and Brickell CityCentre. Related closed on the land in June for $32 million. A proposal called Premiere Towers was once slated for the site.

Related recently celebrated the virtual sellout of 450-units at nearby 52-story tower SLS Brickell, which will soon break ground.

Third, Slightly Taller, Brickell Heights Building Revealed

Quote:
While the renderings don't exactly show a lot (how could they with that bad iPhonography?) there doesn't seem to be a lot to show. It looks just like the other two, but taller at 57 floors/595 feet. The tower will have 515 condo units, giving Brickell Heights a total of 1,215 units in the three towers. Of course, knowing Related, there are probably at least a few surprises, like whatever those two cutouts in the shaft of the building are. Could they be sky lobbies? Maybe they have something to do with the 60 room SLS hotel that Related is apparently wrapping around the building's parking garage, which will not only be the second SLS in Brickell, but the second SLS on the same street. Talk about confusing.

Thanks for the info chris but this is getting crazy in the Brickell district! Brickell Bayview Center just announced that they will start construction of their 504 foot tower in September of this year. (Look for my thread in this sub-forum on the project)
This means that we will have the 2 Brickell Heights towers, the 3 Brickell City Centre towers, SLS Brickell & Brickell Bayview Center all under construction at the same time. That will be seven towers over 500 feet going up at the same time!

^^^^^

It is getting nuts.

In the pic below, each little shining beacon represents a tower that will be or is UC.

This was as of February 2014, but with that said, it is only going to heat up. The next neighborhoods to watch in the future are Edgewater and Easy Edgewater. Those I predict will be the next Brickell. Its already happening slowly. More proposals in that area, and construction is picking up along the waterfront. I am liking a lot of this infill in those neighborhoods.

The trend with alot of these projects seems to be 1000+ units. If we look at several Miami projects, the units just keep rolling in. Great times!

^ Fair enough but I thought since it was topped off not to include it and added it to my original count.

10: Brickell House | 500 ft. |152 m | 46 stories

So the count goes 28 towers over 500 feet completed with another 10 towers over 500 feet Under Construction. If we add Paraiso Bay's 3 towers which broke ground today the amount of towers after completion would be 41 which would put Miami at #3 in the US after NYC & Chicago and surpassing Houston.
