What was located here before they built this. I hope it was just a parking lot or something.

LOL, this is Fifth Ave. There are no parking lots.

There were three separate buildings there originally. All three were actually ornate and were very nice. One on the corner was particularly tall, too. Something like 15 stories. They were all demolished by 2005.

WNY used to have pics but they are no longer up.

I may or may not have some photos because I took a lot of photos on 5th. I'll have to search when I return home.

I walked by this site at night the other day and the glass was just very nice--crystal clear and good quality. Along with Beekman, this is one of my favorites going up in the city right now.

I don't care much for those slanted windows. It looks like they're open all the time, which gives the base a sleek look. But then again we'd have to see how it plays out with the shaft once it's done.

I like the slanted windows. I also like that it has reminiscent touches of art deco. Though its details are pretty bland.
