It is not up to you to decide where developers choose to build. Our inner-city is less dense than areas outside Loop 410. The medical center is the most dense area in San Antonio.

The La Cantera/UTSA area is prime because of the global headquarters, major university, name-brand shopping centers, and wealthy neighborhoods. The area is aesthetically more appealing than most others. You can rant and rave on this message board all you'd like. It will not make a difference.

I was just over there and there is a lot of cranes and construction. They are definitely putting that hotel up now. I didn't have a camera to take a picture unfortunately.

I think that Eilan is a lot more to look forward to when it comes to planning than the Rim.

Looks like the "mercantile" building got its permits from the city. Also, from checking out the site, it appears that Stephan Pyles will have a new restaurant at the Eilan Hotel.

^^^ I was there on Saturday and I thought the exact same thing! It looks monstrous from The Rim, especially since this is being built on a hill.

Yeah, it being on that hill just adds to the enormous look of the buildings.

I also like the entrance that was built at La Cantera Parkway and the 10 frontage on the Eilan/Six Flags side.

Wow, River North is really filling out nicely! Oh wait, yeah, this is 20 miles from downtown. It does look nice, though.

I hope they bring it up to 1400 residential units. Right now, it's kind of isolated up there and since it lacks connectivity, it'll need density to make it feel like a neighborhood and a successful one.

The back seems spaced out with the amphitheater and chapel, so I'm curious as to how they will connect the rest of the units. It would have to be dense, though, if they want to keep the walkability and use of the trolley throughout the community.
