Arrow San Antonio - Day Two (on my bike) ~ 95 photos

The 2nd day I didn't have as much time to go shoot, so I took my bicycle to cover more ground.

Spotted this brave soul flying over I-35 near New Braunfels.

Convention center bridge over the river.

The Bexar County Courthouse. Construction lasted from 1891 to 1896.

The courthouse was designed by James Riely Gordon who designed many courthouses in Texas at that time, including the one in Waco and Decatur.

The San Antonio Central Public Library. The building was built in 1995, and was designed by Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta

The traitors...

Until next time.

Thanks for looking.

Awesome. Every street, every building, and every view is like being in another city or another country. I'm always being reminded why I love this place

Another great set.

I like that you took time to get in some good angles of the library building. I love that style of architecture.

I love that library.

But then, I love the Torch of Friendship and Alamodome, too. Basically all things my parents think are ugly in DT SA

Yeah, and people think downtown is ugly because it's brown...but brown's my favorite color...so downtown is ideal for me

Thanks guys. Yeah, I really like the library. I love going around a building like that and photographing it. You can really appreciate its architecture that way, looking for the details and how it works with the city. There was a bus stop there too, and I noticed it was quite active. I'd actually like to go back again next time for some more pics of the library and maybe go inside. I see a few angles I missed. I don't think I saw the other side either.

I posted both threads in the 'My City Photos' section too.

Great photos! My two favorites was this one -

What a nice place to relax, out of the heat, and with a view of the skyline. My kinda place.

And this one

I liked the colors and the composition.

Loved the library, too. A really great tour of the city.

Very nice tour. I love all those "brown buildings" as someone put it above. The Tower Life buidling has always been one of my favs and I love many of the other older historic buidlings as well. I've down just about every street nook and cranny you show above many, many times over the years. SA is by far one of may favorite cities in the entire country.

Yeah, I love the convention center. That bridge is such a cool place. They've spruced it up a bit since the last time I was there too. Those chairs and coffee stand didn't used to be there. And oh yes, after walking or riding around downtown, coming back to the convention center is nice. They keep it ice cold in there.
