So you were judging the street life? Hardly. A skyline goes a long way to defining a city's beauty anyway. I'm not afraid to say it. I don't wake up to the beautiful skyline and think about some other aspect of the city. I don't stop and stare at the road system or the do I gasp at the artificial lakes at the park. Buildings is what makes or break a city for me. If some aspect of Dubai made it seem ugly to you, go ahead and say what it was... on a thread with a subject title to that effect.

Wow, don't put words in other's people's posts that aren't there. I don't prefer Dubai's architecture over my own city. What I was referring to was the mass of negative comments that came in a thread celebrating the ascension of the world's tallest tower. No one was asked their opinion of the city or tower, but yet they came. Jealousy is a perfectly reasonable conclusion as to the cause.
