Hamo, your post and the Calrissian's were over a year apart; I say , because last I heard, this project won't start until 2010.

Well, a couple years delay for this project is nothing. Its take years to get almost any project approved in 'the west', so 2010 is no far off at all.

There is plenty of money sloshing in Kuwait, so there is no reason why they won't have their own super-super tall within 5-7 years.

where not going to laugh if it gets built or not, were already all laughing at your antics. Why do you think its not gonna get built? this is an extreme case, yes, but it is doable, money wise, engineer wise and the aspects are there.

Something is gonna get built eventually. It may only be 2,000 feet, but wow, common this place is a little Dubia.

I'm pretty sure the prime minister of Kuwait okayed this tower. I think it has gone farther than a proposal, it's going to be built.

I believe the 2007-2008 timeline is referring to the overall project of Silk City, the entire city, and that's what was approved. The tower itself is one part of that project but it doesn't appear to be starting yet.
