Boise appears to be distinctly hipster-licious.

This is dumb on my part, but for some reason I thought it sat at a higher elevation?

Boise looks gorgeous.

P.S. The composition of this alley shot:

reminds me so much of this shot from a long-forgotten STL photo thread:

Boise is at a lower elevation than most of Southern Idaho which is why we have early springs and late falls and hot summers.

This has been happening for decades and the in migration has really picked up the past 5 or so years. We get a lot of people from western Washington and Oregon in addition to people moving here from all over.

Nice! That is a beautiful shot. I've been hanging out in the alleys this spring in my neighborhood and downtown practicing social distancing.

Boise used to have a Chinatown which was rumored to have been one of the largest in the inland west back after the gold rush.

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse
