So maybe we're talking superstructure top-out in a little bit more than a year...maybe?
Maybe somewhat less as the building does its subtle tapering thing.

^ Can't wait until this thing starts to taper. That will be it's signature element, other than the cladding. I also want this to top out before CP tower, gaining at least 2nd tallest status (however temporary) in the citym and 3rd in the country.

Yes, it gives off the impression that they are a bunch of boxes stacked when the lights are on -- it changes the feel of the tower compared to daytime for the better. It looks much cooler at that time of day.

Not to side track this off of 111 but 432 Park is starting to grow on me. In a way, I kinda think it's the developers homage to the old WTC towers and that lust people wanted for a similar replacement. Same box shape and taller. And there it is.

In that last pic above, what the heck is that tall slender building down there by Tribeca? Or maybe just the spire off of one of the other building just makes it look that way.

9/17, from the Top of The Rock. Bonus Coverage: Tower Verre.

It's a real treat being up there amongst the climbing giants.

It now seems to have surpassed that 70's relic eyesore POS Park Lane Hotel.

That will still be the best observation deck in town when everything is completed. 53W53 will be like a personal gift, as will Steinway.

Hard at work on the skyline. Whose crew is best?

through thick . . & very very thin . .
through squabbles, court cases, and all the rest . .
the unbridled enthusiasm you guys have for this skinny building . .
is probably what's twisting the rebar and pouring the concrete . .
it's beyond comprehension . . even if no workers ever showed up . .
111 would undoubtedly rise to its excruciatingly terrifying height . .
'cause you all are so fanatically demented . . hip hip . .
even I occasionally put in 2 cents worth of vibe myself . .

You might say a cockeyed optimist.

well, somebody above said this has surpassed the crappy looking park lane hotel, which is 450,' so about 200' to go until the first taper in.

also that will probably be about the same time as civilians start to notice it.
