Beautiful! FAll this year has been amazing, and as usual, I have been too busy to enjoy it. Thanks for capturing it.

I lived next to the El (and nearly under it) for 15 months. Yes it was loud, but I got used to it. My bedroom was midway between the front and back of the apartment, so I was not right up agianst the tracks. I actually enjoyed the rumbeling sound, it reminded me of distant thunder right before a storm. Plus, I always knew right when my visiting friends would arrive at the front door.
The living room at the front of the building was actually the loudest room in the apartment with the windows open, becuase the building across the street was by chance acustically perfect and bounced the sound back towards us.

I looked at an apartment in a building located right where the Sheridan curve is. But I decided against it because the apartment was located at the back side of the building, exactly level with the EL tracks. Well that wasn't the only reason I decided against it - the building/apartment was a little too outdated and I found a better apartment in a better location in East Lakeview for a surprisingly cheaper monthly rate.

Stunning pics! Since most posts on here are downtown skyscraper shots it was very nice to see another part of this great city.
