Nice pictures, BrinChi. I like the bump it adds to the center of the skyline from the lake.

^ Same, add in 1000M and a couple more towers behind the Hilton, Harrison lodge, and Congress and just like that, you've got yourself a pretty connected South Loop(as far as the skyline viewed from the Lake is concerned that is)

I agree. It's in a perfect location for maximum impact, although I can't remember when the area between Sears and Museum Park became the center of the skyline from any persective. South Loop is cookin right now

I always think to myself when I look at Brooklyn at how its 3rd behind Manhattan and Chicago lol

You're totally right. If you slashed Congress and split the two it would be top 10, maybe top 5 lol. I think the only problem is is still feels continuous and its hard to seperate parts of Chicago's skyline (unlike ny with Midtown, Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, etc.)

Just makes our skyline all the more beautiful and cohesive

This is what the skyline looked like in 2006:

From Wikipedia's 2008 Chicago skyline challenge

The grand really helped expand the skyline south (04/2009):

This is from April of this year:

In a couple years this year's pictures are going to look sparse.

^Excellent shots. This tower adds a much needed contemporary jolt to the Michigan Ave streetwall, after being somewhat stagnant . Love it.
