I recommend West Side Pizza on Dorothy St in Normanview West. Great food, and friendly staff. The owner, Louie, is the best!

The the Grammar Police are on patrol.

By the way, don't we usually put a space after a comma in the English language?

^ not to mention the horrible comma splice in the first sentence. If you're going to criticize the grammar of othrs, yours better be impeccable.

Favourite Regina restaurants:
India House
Mediterranean Bistro (depsite its strip mall location)
Vietnamese Gardens
Copper Kettle (mostly because of the Scarth St atmosphere, the food is nothing great)
Bushwakkers

Also, no prime rib anywhere can compare to a prime rib at Golf's.

No, the general public can no longer access the SaskPower cafeteria unless escorted up there by a SaskPower employee.

But if you're looking for a higher destination to eat, try the cafeteria on the 18th floor of SGI. They have the BEST cinnamon buns (Tues & Thurs) and a nice variety for lunch. The security ppl there are pretty good - as long as you sign in where you work and leave your info, they'll let you go up there. Then you can also experience the fastest elevators in the province...bonus!

I'm in Regina for a week for business and I have 7 evenings to spend. What are some good places you would recommend? Any local specialties? What is there to do after hours? How's the nightlife?

I wouldn't get your hopes up for any kind of spectacular night life or downtown experiences if I were you. Regina is just a small city of less than 200,000 people, so your options are not all that large. I'm sure some of the locals can points out a few decent restaurants and pubs though. My buddy used to live in Regina and mentioned a couple of decent haunts around the city, but just not at the same level with major cities. Where are you from?

If you aren't familiar with Regina, then why are you giving advice?

It makes people feel all "big city" to mock smaller centres, particularly when their own city takes a lot of flack from others...cough "Deadmonton" cough.

Rooftop Bar & Grill. It's a new joint, and you actually get to eat on the roof!

I am not sure of the name...

.. but I have always enjoyed the Lakeshore on Hillsdale. < I believe thats it>

Its a nice quite restaurant with good food.. also a stones throw from the Centre of the Arts.

I have also enjoyed many casual evenings at Western Pizza... and of course Triffons is great.
